C’MAN methodology workshop

$eDate: “30 January 2024”

Event by Pro Progressione

Responding to the rapidly changing needs within the cultural sector continues to pose a challenge for professionals and educators working in the field. Therefore, in collaboration with its international partners – KEA European Affairs (BE), The Green Room (FR), Central European University (AT) – Pro Progressione (HU) has developed a new methodology and digital curriculum in response to this challenge by involving instructors and professionals within the sector. The primary areas covered in the training material include project management, change management, and transitioning towards environmental consciousness.

We welcome all cultural managers, professionals, educators, university students, and institutional as well as civil organizational staff to the demonstration of the innovative methodology of our C’MAN (Cultural Management adapted to new needs) project.

The event will also feature the DemArt and Creative Agora projects as exemplary practices implemented using the C’MAN methodology.

About DemArt project:
What is art commission? What role does the population of the 7th district play in the creation of a new artwork? How can the process of creating, funding and creating art be democratised? How can we work together on this international level?

The DemArt project aims to democratise the funding of art projects by developing an innovative, replicable participatory process for municipalities, which allows community members to commission selected artists.

ART FORWARD. Cultural management: conflict&context

$eDate: “26 September 2023”

Event by ACMC – Arts & Cultural Management ConferenceCEU Culture Hub and Pro Progressione

We’re thrilled to announce a powerful collaboration between ACMC and C’MAN, Co-hosted by CEU Culture Hub, bringing you an event designed to empower students and professionals in the field of arts and cultural management.

Have you ever wondered how to make concerts more sustainable? How can arts and culture promote change, social discourse and cohesion? How can arts and culture be manipulated to drive oppression and propaganda?

The ACMC part of the event will take place between 27 and 29 September, and it will focus on the previously announced topic “Conflict & Context”. The workshops on cultural management will be held by C’MAN between 26 September and 1 October.

When? 26 September to 1 October at the Central European University in Vienna, Austria

The Art Forward conference and training program aim to present the diverse palette within cultural management research and practice. The program includes thought-provoking academic lectures from renowned professors and young researchers, panels comprised of actual practitioners, interactive workshops, concerts, and an exhibition that focuses on conflict and context, sustainability in international arts management and change management issues. The aim of the program is to create awareness about sensitivity issues in cultural management and to focus on sustainable and cutting-edge ideas and objectives in areas of conflict in the age of globalization. Altogether, we offer an immersive experience that we believe will broaden your perspectives on cultural management.

The Arts and Cultural Management Conference (ACMC) is a platform aimed at providing arts and culture students and professionals with the opportunity to present their research, exchange knowledge, and expand their professional network. Since 2018, the conference was hosted annually across various European cities including Hamburg (DE), Groningen (NL), Vienna (AT) and Bilbao (ES).

C’Man is an international project responding to current challenges of the Cultural and Creative Sectors by providing relevant training opportunities in Cultural Management. The initiative is coordinated by Pro Progressione, a Budapest-based artistic hub that connects people, professions and ambitions by designing international collaborations in the field of culture and it is funded under the Erasmus+ programme.
